More than just insulation.
Environmentally Friendly Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation can be used in all areas of building constructions, and it is especially useful in areas that are hard to reach or impossible to vapour barrier via conventional systems. These important qualities are rolled into one with the application of spray foam insulation, and not only is the foam we offer made of renewable materials and free of harmful chemicals such as bleach – our foam can help to reduce your energy consumption, and thus expenditure.
The Benefits of Closed Cell Foam
Genyk Boreal which we supply is a ‘closed cell’ foam, created for the extreme temperature fluctuations that we have here in Saskatchewan. This means that if you insulate your home using our foam, problems such as mold and condensation in your home’s interior will be less likely occurrences. Closed cell foam also has higher strength than open cell foam, and thus using this type of material for insulation will give you a more resilient result.

Air + Vapour + Radon Barrier. Most people know what an air and vapour barrier are, however Radon tends to get forgotten about.
Radon is a harmful radioactive gas that travels through openings that are in contact with the ground. In Canada, almost all buildings contain radon, and close to 10% of residents have a too high concentration that severely affects air quality. Radon is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in Canada.

Open vs. Closed Cell Foam Insulation Efficiency
While open cell foam has its uses in certain industries, closed cell is preferable in insulation as its solid construction serves to limit the passage of humid air through to walls, and thus prevents common problems caused by humidity. Just three inches of closed cell foam can stop 95% of heat loss due to conduction, and only a quarter of an inch is needed to stop 99% of heat loss due to convection. With this thermal efficiency, your power consumption can be greatly reduced. For Saskatchewan weather, Closed Cell insulation is the best and most common foam used.

“We are building a cabin at Fishing Lake and had Prairie Boys Spray Foam insulate for us. Cody and I talked regularly on the timeline. Cody made a trip just to look at the job site and see where we were at.
He was very informative in the process and the product; we hired him without even meeting!
Cody and his team arrived to do the job, called us to make sure we were all on the same page. I appreciated his professionalism and their great work effort is a great asset for this company!
We would recommend these guys for great work!”
“These guys are the best! Answered any and all questions I had and explained how everything works. They did my garage and basement. Wow what a difference. It feels super warm and my furnace does not kick in as often as before. I can’t wait for this years super cold winter and watch my heating savings go up thanks to the spray foam.”
“My husband and I hired Prairie Boys to spray foam insulate our basement. They came out today and did an absolutely fabulous job! Not only were they efficient and professional, but the price paid was 100% worth the final product and service provided. They were in and out in about 3.5 hours and our basement already feels several degrees warmer. We are SO impressed with everything and will most definitely be referring our friends and family to Prairie Boys!”
“Cody is a professional guy. They arrived on time, completed the job on schedule, and cleaned up really well. I’m very happy with the job they did. Spray foam has to be done with finesse, you gotta know what your doing and Cody does. He works hard. It is an expensive product so it’s important to know you have guys that are knowledgeable and trustworthy. And a company that will stand behind their work and product. I would recommend these boys over and over.”
